Primary products were sugarcane, cassava, coconut, corn and rice.
Although this region is characterized by heavily developed cities, the history of handicrafts remains thriving in towns throughout Central Visayas. Traditional crafts from these locations range from bamboo to coconut goods. Small towns, in particular, continue to educate future generations about folk arts which made the region worth visiting.
